Course Outcome

This qualification reflects the role of hairdressers who use a range of well-developed sales, consultation, technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of hairdressing services to clients. It includes practical skills such as design, colouring, foiling, men's and ladies cutting, long hair design and much more. You will be provided with class contact hours and real valid hands-on experience with real clients in our busy salon right across the road from the Iconic Flinders Street Station.

Pathways Information

Certificate IV in Hairdressing. This qualification provides a pathway to work as a hairdresser in any industry environment, usually a salon.

 

Job Outcomes

Upon successful completion students are 'job ready' and recognised within the hairdressing industry as a fully qualified hairdresser.

Credits are also transferrable to any of our other courses where applicable.

Training is in a classroom setting, with a mix of practical work on clients, written work, workshops, and group discussion. Assessment includes project work, demonstration of skills & participation in discussions, written assessment and presentations.

This is a practical qualification with a lot of hands-on assessment and mandatory hours that students must complete before being eligible for graduation so attendance is important to ensure successful completion of this qualification. All skills assessment, will be required to be carried out on paying members of the public.
