Course Outcome

This is the perfect introduction to the hairdressing industry. You will be provided with class contact hours and real valid hands-on experience with real clients in our busy salon right across the road from the Iconic Flinders Street Station. You will learn how to interact with clients professionally, provide assistance to senior colleagues and follow workplace health and safety procedures.

Pre-requisite: You must have completed Year 10 to start this course, however special entry may be granted under exceptional circumstances.
Requirements: All applicants must be a minimum age of 15.

Salon assistant, receptionist or apprenticeship. Credits are also transferrable to any of our other courses.

Training is in a classroom setting, with a mix of practical work on clients, written work, workshops, and group discussion. Assessment includes project work, demonstration of skills & participation in discussions and debates, written and oral tests and presentations.
